Who Else Wants A Beautiful Honeymoon

As much as getting married to the one you love and starting a new life is exciting and wonderful, the task of putting together an unforgettable honeymoon is pretty daunting.

Spending hours surfing on the net and paging through catalogues trying to find a romantic destination at an affordable price, might be fun at the beginning but as time goes by all of the resorts seems to look the same; palm trees, white beaches, martinis and endless sunsets are what is being advertised.

How do you know that what you see is what you get? Everyone tries to put their best foot forward, posting photos of their fabulous spacious rooms with spectacular views from their balconies.

But the majority of hotels, spa’s and resorts are nothing like the photos they post or maybe it used to look like it decades ago. Which brings us to the question… how can we make sure that we get what we pay for?

Some people rely on reviews from previous visitors, which is very helpful because most of the reviewers post authentic photos of the properties they stayed at. Although very often the photos posted are of the negative things however there are a lot of those that are positive.

There is also the issue of affordability, because the wedding reception and all the other expenses takes a huge bite out of the budget and what is left is usually what is intended for the honeymoon. But it all depends on what one’s priority is; to make sure the guests are left gob smacked by the sheer amount of French champagne and caviar served at the reception or to rather have the bridal couple whisked off to a romantic destination.

Paris is considered to be the epitome of romance, however not everyone can afford it but as the years went by many other places made their footprint on the romantic destinations list.

One that is currently a favorite with honeymooners is Thailand with its affordable resorts and spa’s. One can get a full board luxurious five star honeymoon package from as little as $1200 per person sharing. All it takes is a little bit of surfing the net and checking out reviews.

Saul Kerzner’s One and Only resorts are plastered all over the globe, although it is somewhat expensive they do sometimes have special honeymoon packages for their resorts in Mauritius, Maldives and Seychelles although Mauritius would be the best option for those looking for a bargain.

Another country that slowly made its way to the romantic destination list is Egypt. Taking a 3 night Nile Cruise on one of the numerous Cruise ships from Luxor to Aswan seems to be one of the favorites for honeymoon couples seeking the love spark between Cleopatra and Mark Anthony.

Like Thailand, Egypt is relatively affordable however at the moment with the current state of the country most countries would not advise travel to Egypt for touristic purposes. Coincidently the characters of Jason’s Heart – Secrets and Lies, a novel by Kong Pub find themselves in Egypt hoping for a new start.

In all it’s all about personal taste, affordability and time because if these three things are not in sync a honeymoon would be highly unlikely.
